Wow is all I can say about my wonderful experience with Dr. Scharf and his staff. As someone who has anxiety about going to the dentist I have never encountered such attentive and caring staff. And Kristen was phenomenal in her periodontal treatment with me. I absolutely love Dr Scharf and his staff!

Dr. Scharf is the only periodontist/oral surgeon you will ever need! He is the epitome of just what a periodontist should be: highly educated, proficient, professional, and caring. His staff is remarkable, too, because they mirror his finest quality, kindness.
I recently had preparations for two implants completed, along with the insertion of sinus lifts,
to replace two extracted molars in my upper jaw.
The surgery went like a dream. Recovery has been a breeze, and I look forward to a nicer, healthier smile. These are the reasons I write that Dr. Scharf is the only periodontist/oral surgeon you will ever need.

I gave 3 stars because I do believe he does good work. However, when he tells you to take “magic tea” for dry socket….well, no. Sorely lacking in the empathy category

I recommend Dr. David Scharf and his team without reservation!
The first thing you’ll notice when you enter his office is that it’s SCRUPULOUSLY clean.Every effort has been made to keep the patients and staff safe during this pandemic. In addition, you’ll be greeted by a friendly and professional staff at the reception desk.
This was my second visit to Dr. Scharf’s office. During my first visit, it was determined that my gums needed treatment and that I needed a deep cleaning . Both were done by an EXCELLENT hygienist named Kristen.
Dr. scharf uses only the latest “state of the art” equipment.What a difference that makes in the right hands! Kristen has a thorough command of this equipment! On this visit, I only needed deep cleaning. I’ve had this procedure done many times in the past elsewhere. It was always a very uncomfortable and often painful experience. Not with Kristen! She has a remarkably light and gentle touch. She takes her time, is VERY THOROUGH, and gets the job done right! She really cares!
As she was working on me, Kristen often asked how I was feeling. Because of her skill with the high-tech equipment she uses, I was perfectly fine throughout. Before she started the cleaning, Kristen asked if I wanted a numbing gel. I didn’t feel the necessity.She asked again during the procedure just to be sure, but because of her expertise, I never felt the need for it. Dear
Because I hadn’t been to the office in a long time, it was agreed that new X-rays would be needed.That decision was totally mine to make. There was no pressure! Since Dr.Scharf’s X-ray equipment is digital, the X-rays were taken and ready for viewing in minutes. This was nothing like the arduous and unpleasant experiences I’d had in past offices. There was no need for those hard pieces of “film” to be placed next to the tooth being X-rayed. There was no need to keep biting down on the film to keep it from slipping. There was no need for the technician to leave the room to take the X-ray. What a relief!
My whole experience, including a brief consultation with Dr. Scharf so he could recommend a dentist in my area, was positive in every respect! In fact, when I got home, I contacted the person who’d recommended Dr. Scharf to me in the first place to thank her again.

My experience at Doctor Scharf’s was a positive one. I felt comfortable from the beginning, upon meeting the Doctor. My procedure was explained by Doctor Scharf, giving me complete understanding. I find him and his staff to be examples of true professionals and I am grateful.

I had the all on 4 surgery back in May. I needed to do something about my teeth. I knew it was time for dentures, but I knew I wouldn't like them. I already have a partial that doesn't fit right and moves around when I talk or eat. I saw Dr. Scharf on TV for many years talking about implants. I was afraid of the surgery, but I did call to make an appointment. Dr. Scharf was caring, and listened to my concerns. His staff were caring also. After my implants were in , I was surprised it wasn't so bad. The next day I did swell, it lasted a few days. I had worse tooth pain in the past. Once my denture was put in the next day, I was so happy. They look like my own teeth. I could smile again. Anyone sitting on the fence about getting implants, don't . Call the office make an appointment. You will not be sorry. Its the best thing I did for myself.
