Pete Gutierrez and Kathy Scures-Gutierrez came to Sebastian in 1985 after graduating from dental school at Emory University. They have studied at the internationally renowned LD Pankey Institute and Dawson Center. They are both from Florida, Miami and Winter Park, respectively and were attracted to the small town appeal of Sebastian and the proximity to the ocean. Seeing any dentist for any reason has always beem very stressful for me. Your front office staff was friendly and welcoming. Janel was immediately warm, caring and calming. Dr. Katherine was, too. They both have a calm and gentle manner. Dr. Kathetine took the time to answer all my questions and explain things. I wasn't treated like an "assembly line" patient, which has become the norm these days. Their first priority was relieving my pain and examining me carefully so as not to exacerbate it. Dr Scures-Gutierrez does medical missions regularly in Haiti. She has also volunteered some dental time and work to some children from Imani Milele Children's Org; an organization that cares for orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda. Her gentleness, care and concern caused us to want to also be her pts. Thank you.
I am 61 years old and have been involved with numerous dentists in my lifetime, spanning three states. I have never been treated with as much kindness, understanding and respect as I have experienced with your staff. Doctor Scures(Gutierrez) is absolutely the most kind, thoughtful dental professional I have ever experienced. The staff is friendly and helpful. I have full confidence in Dr. Kathy. And that helps me relax while work is being done. I am very pleased with their service. One comment I would make is, give the patient a choice, a head of time, whether to let a student in training work on you. People with high anxiety may have a problem with it. Like me!! Thank you for the availability of water bottles and drinks.
Everyone is kind, helpful and competent! I have never had to wait, my appointments are always on time. The dental care is superb and top quality. These people are all quality!
I was a whole week early for my appointment, but the staff was able to insert me into the schedule due to a cancellation! Very accommodating!
