needed main sewer line replaced last summer. abbots came out right away.. however the unsightly trenches they have left on my front yard are unacceptable. they seemed in a hurry to leave and I would not recommend them if you need any trench work done

Business response:

Mr. Hunter, We have tried to reach you several times and your number is not accepting our call. We would like to better your experience with us so you feel comfortable recommending us again. You know how to reach us. Tim

Never use this company. I thought I had a broken pipe outside of the house after losing electricity for 12 hours. I couldn't get the plumber I usually use to come out until the following day. I called Abbott's and they were able to come out for a charge of 50.00. After they did a leak test for 411.00 they said "yes" I did have a leak under ground and gave me an estimate of over 7,000 to repair it. I decided to keep the appointment with Catons Plumbing the following day. Just had a feeling. Catons didn't charge to come... read more

My 71 year old mother called to get a job done, they never called back. While I was handling the fix, she told me Abbotts charged her $1225 to replace (2) faucets. Yes. $1225 to replace 2 faucets. Less than 60 minutes of work, $1225. Sickening approach to business.

DO NOT use these people for anything tankless water heater related 4-5 visits and over 700 dollars later water heater still not fixed. Was told I needed a brand new unit because their was gas leaking. Upon further review and a call to the technical department (which my plumber never made himself) found out there was no gas leak and the problem could have been solved by a simple diagnostic...that was NEVER DONE. Was able to get the unit working again myself with guess what...no gas leak (read what you will into that) on the... read more

Quality of work was good but is dependent on who does the work. We had 3 sets of plumbers work our job. The first two were great, the last not so much. I had a manufacturer send a $300 replacement faucet under warranty; the old one (that could have been able to be repaired) mysteriously ‘disappeared’. The fact that the technician “can’t remember” what happened to it is an unacceptable excuse. The main contractors don’t have it, it’s not in the dumpster, and is nowhere in the house. One rouge employee tarnishes the w... read more

Timing and scheduling was great-price for service was way overpriced. $400 for clearing a garbage disposal trap and possibly snaking drain-minimal water in the sink. Manager could offer me $30 off service after already paying $49 to tell me my sink is clogged with just his eyes.

Use qualified plumbers who can see if appliance ordered and paid for is a good fit for older homes. Horrific plumber got spooked by BGE. Irate neigjbor called because Chuck plumbet had turned off his gas . Horrific experience. Tore my house up and i still dont have hot water or heat. Horrible .im disabled and elderly i was certainly taken advance of. Same chimney problem and they dont do and left. He was there 2 days 8hrs and norhing. They r the worst.

Business response:

Abbott's Plumbing made several attempts to resolve the issue beyond the normal services we offer. The other unfortunate events that took place were not associated with Abbott's Plumbing nor our staff.
