Today I visited Dr Rao for an independent work cover referral. I found Dr Rao very knowledgeable, explaining in detail about my injury, Not to mention his caring nature in understanding the pain I am currently in and physio will never fix the issue only bandaid it short term. After reading all the reviews I think I will consider returning for treatment.

After 2 years of experiencing pain and numbness down my left leg I was put in contact with Dr Rao. After my first visit with Dr Rao he assured me he could fix my problem. After my operation I felt my problem was fixed immediately. He is a very understanding, caring and down to earth doctor who explains everything in detail and in a way which is understood. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has experienced back/spinal pain. Thank you once again Dr Rao.

Dr Rao is such and amazing, caring neurosurgeon! His work is of the best. I had a sudden onset of numbness and tingling to both my legs which we found out very quickly that I had a calcified T5-T6 disc pushing onto my spinal cord. Within roughly 2 weeks of finding this out I was being operated on. Everything happened so quickly and efficient, Dr Rao was so caring of our situation especially as my wife and I were expecting our first born within 6 weeks which made everything so much scary. Recover was a bit painful which of c... read more

Dr. Rao has made my mobility level go from 4 to 9. He has excellent surgical skill and medical knowledge, combined with an enjoyable demeanour and a level of humility not often found in medical specialists.

I had a sudden attack of severe pain and had to be taken to emergency department where MRI revealed damage to my L4 and L5. Dr Rao attended me late in the day and explained the diagnosis in detail and my possible options. Dr Rao returned the next morning to check on my progress and once again explained my options. I opted for surgery which was performed that evening. Dr Rao attended again the next morning and was very pleased with my progress and recommended my discharge the next day. I was most impressed with Dr Rao in eve... read more

I was experiencing lower back pain and looking for relief I had physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. These treatments relieved my back pain but bought on excruciating leg pain. I made an emergency visit to my GP and was sent to have an RMI which showed damage to my L3/4 and L4/5. An appointment was made soon after to see Dr. Rao who arranged for surgery same day of my visit. I am very grateful to Dr. Rao for treating the surgery as an emergency, I was immediately relieved of my unbearable pain after the surgery. I found Dr. Rao t... read more

Excellent Doctor. I had a L5/S1 lumbar fusion and 8 weeks later underwent a neck C6/C7 fusion . Dr RAO was very re-assuring, polite & compassionate. Dr RAO is very knowledgeable in his field and takes the time to explain everything in laments terms. Would recommend Dr RAO for anything spinal/nerve related.
