Get directionsAt 75yrs I have been to a few Docs including bladder cancer and melanoma, I was in a lot terrific pain . From the time I met Doc I was confident my problems were over , he suggested cortisone injections which we tried with no resulting loss of pain ,in all fairness he did also suggest an op in hindsight that was the way to go, on consultation he offered to do it that evening , however I delayed it for a few days and had the back op , when I woke there was no pains in my leg at all. Doc came and explained op and showed me a v... read more
Dr Rao is very good he didnt just do surgery first he tried other things first and as a last resort then we will look at surgery.
Was very pleasant and introduced himself to me the day after I was admitted to hospital (he came in on a Sunday evening). He also spoke to me at length as to what he was going to do with the operation and then came to see me 3 days after my operation to make sure how I was feeling. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon. The surgery was for the left side of my back at the L4/5 but because I had a bulge on the right side as well towards the end of last year so he helped clean out the other side too

Today I visited Dr Rao for an independent work cover referral. I found Dr Rao very knowledgeable, explaining in detail about my injury, Not to mention his caring nature in understanding the pain I am currently in and physio will never fix the issue only bandaid it short term. After reading all the reviews I think I will consider returning for treatment.
After 2 years of experiencing pain and numbness down my left leg I was put in contact with Dr Rao. After my first visit with Dr Rao he assured me he could fix my problem. After my operation I felt my problem was fixed immediately. He is a very understanding, caring and down to earth doctor who explains everything in detail and in a way which is understood. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has experienced back/spinal pain. Thank you once again Dr Rao.
Dr Rao is such and amazing, caring neurosurgeon! His work is of the best. I had a sudden onset of numbness and tingling to both my legs which we found out very quickly that I had a calcified T5-T6 disc pushing onto my spinal cord. Within roughly 2 weeks of finding this out I was being operated on. Everything happened so quickly and efficient, Dr Rao was so caring of our situation especially as my wife and I were expecting our first born within 6 weeks which made everything so much scary. Recover was a bit painful which of c... read more
